Leblon Shopping – Leblon Square

Praça Leblon, the gourmet area on the L4 floor of Shopping Leblon, was completely rethought to reflect the soul of Rio: sophisticated, sensory, and light. Our challenge was to translate into light an architectural concept that evokes freshness, energy, and elegance.

Generous indirect lighting highlights the higher ceiling, revealing the original coffered structure painted in pale terracotta. We used Kelving Lab’s Skarlet technology to bring vibrancy to the indirect lighting, with red in the light spectrum intensifying the sensory atmosphere of the space. Layers of pinpoint light over the tables, grazing light on vertical surfaces, and decorative fixtures, some reused from the previous plaza as a gesture of sustainability and respect for what still had value, complete a composition that doesn’t just welcome, but turns dwell time into pleasure.
