We were honored to design the inaugural lighting for Galeria da Gávea, which opened with an exhibition by acclaimed Brazilian photographer Luiz Braga, whose work is celebrated for its striking visual poetry. Our challenge was to create an atmosphere where the photographs could truly breathe: precise, soft, and even illumination that never competes with the artwork, but instead allows it to fully reveal itself.
Outside, we preserved the soul of the historic house, creating a thoughtful transition between past and present. Illuminating art is, above all, an act of respect. This project is one of the clearest expressions of what we believe: the best lighting is the kind that enriches the visitor’s experience without ever calling attention to itself.
