Ipanema residence 1

Conclusion: 2002
Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Lighting design: Monica Lobo and Danielle Valle
Architecture and interior design: Progetto Arquitetura e Interiores
Photographer: Andrés Otero
Developed in 2003, this project for a couple of art collectors in Ipanema remains completely current, which is exactly what it demonstrates: good lighting is timeless. For a home that is, in practice, a private gallery, we created an electrified track system with 48 adjustable spotlights offering total flexibility in displaying the artwork.
Each spotlight allows the beam angle to be adjusted, ranging from a broader wash to a precise, focused spot. The combination of tracks with different types of lighting ensures full control over highlighting each piece, without sacrificing the warmth and comfort of the home.
