Rosewood São Paulo, named best hotel in South America for the second year running and 24th best in the world, is a benchmark in international hospitality and luxury. Part of the Cidade Matarazzo ecosystem and designed by Philippe Starck and Jean Nouvel, the hotel embodies the “Sense of Place” philosophy, where the essence of the location is translated into every design detail. In collaboration with OMstudio Lighting, we developed the lighting to honor the building’s history while connecting it to the present.
To create a warm, sophisticated atmosphere, we used 2400K light sources for general lighting and 2700K for highlights, evoking the gold of the past with warmth and elegance. The layered composition combines diffuse light to soften the spaces, focused accents to highlight special elements, and decorative fixtures that add personality. The result is lighting that turns every space into a scene, as in the case of Asaya Spa, awarded Latin America’s Best Hotel Spa 2024 and Brazil’s Best Hotel Spa 2024 by the World Spa Awards.
