At Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro, designed by Philippe Starck, the lighting was called upon to engage with one of the country’s most cinematically sophisticated pieces of architecture. The challenge was to honor Starck’s visual narrative, with spaces that feel like scenes from a film, without overshadowing it. LD Studio developed a project that anticipated the needs of each space before the guest’s eye even reached them: the reception with its wood and fabric panels, the Londra Bar in a dramatic key, the Fasano al Mare restaurant with its distinct atmosphere, and the rooftop pool with colored LEDs that turned the water into a scenic element.
