At H.Stern’s flagship store at Rio Design Barra, architect Bel Lobo transformed a 123m² space into a forest of certified timber trunks, where each piece of jewelry was displayed within the wood as though every niche were its own intimate stage. LD Studio translated this architectural metaphor through carefully orchestrated lighting. AR111 halogen fixtures fitted with amber filters and honeycomb louvers produced soft, grazing light reminiscent of sunlight filtering through a forest canopy. Each timber niche featured a three-point lighting composition—with front, cross, and back lighting—to eliminate shadows and give every piece of jewelry a striking, theatrical presence. At the central display counter, diffuse linear LED lighting was paired with miniature spotlights of varying color temperatures, balancing the technical precision required for jewelry presentation with the rich sensory experience that defines the H.Stern brand.
