Moreira Salles Institute

In 2019, a severe storm struck the gardens of the Instituto Moreira Salles, coinciding with the institution’s 20th anniversary. As part of the landscape restoration led by the Burle Marx Landscape Design Studio, we were invited to redesign the site’s exterior lighting.

The concept was inspired by the idea of renewal itself. The trees that survived the storm were illuminated with warmer, more welcoming light—a quiet tribute to resilience and endurance. Newly planted species were lit with neutral white light (4000K), symbolizing growth, regeneration, and the beginning of a new chapter.
