The project for the international headquarters of Vinci Partners, an alternative investments platform, was located in Leblon Offices, the first building in South America designed by American architect Richard Meier. The seven-story structure combines concrete, glass, and vertical gardens in a sustainable composition that generously takes advantage of natural light. Our mission was to create lighting worthy of that architecture.
The greatest challenge was the elevator lobby, with its low ceiling height, which we transformed into a capsule-like experience. Fixtures integrated into the ceiling, walls, and floor, both recessed and layered, create a sense of movement and expand the perceived size of the space. A diffuse, prism-shaped light source reinterprets the dimensions of the space, a concept that continues through the building’s staircases in a seamless, immersive experience.
