Descritivo

For four decades, Rio Design Leblon has been part of the landscape and daily life of the neighborhood, situated between Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and the Leblon shoreline. In 2015, we were invited to rethink its lighting, a challenge that went far beyond a technical update.

A central element of the façade, part of the building’s air-conditioning system, carried particular symbolic value: it was part of the original design conceived by the wife of one of the owners. Preserving that memory was non-negotiable. In partnership with architect Ivan Rezende, we reinterpreted this element, turning it into the protagonist of the spatial experience, reimagined through light. The result reinforces the mall’s identity as a welcoming, elegant, and intimate space, in full harmony with its unique surroundings.
