copacabana palace – bar

In 2009, we lit the Bar do Copa at the iconic Copacabana Palace. With interior design by the South African firm Graham Viney Design, the concept was ambitious: to recreate the sky of a starry Rio summer night inside a bar. To achieve this, we combined cutting-edge technologies for the time: an illuminated counter, a fiber-optic constellation covering the walls and ceiling, color-changing columns, and a glowing door.

The bar no longer exists, but the project lives on in the memory of everyone who experienced it, and in us. It was an experience that captured what we believe: that lighting can transform a space into something unforgettable. An elegant, inventive, and absolutely unique atmosphere, built layer by layer with creativity and technique.
